Lego Marvel Super Heroes is a 2013 action-adventure video game developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows, and by Feral Interactive for OS X. The game features gameplay similar to other Lego titles, such as Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, alternating between various activities-adventure sequences and puzzle-playing out scenarios. The game was put out under the title Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril for the iOS, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, and PlayStation Vita handheld systems.

A significant feature has Clark Gregg reprises his role as Phil Coulson from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Stan Lee is voicing a super-powered variation of himself.

Sticking to the gameplay style of past Lego titles, participants are capable to hold approximately 150 roles from the Marvel Universe, each with their own unique powers. For example, Spider-Man can swing on his webs and use his spider sense while the Hulk, who is larger than the standard minifigures, can throw large objects, as well as shrink down into Bruce Banner to access computers. Galactus was chosen as the main adversary in the game. According to game director, Arthur Parsons, and the manufacturer, Phil Ring, one of the primary settings of Lego Marvel Super Heroes is a Lego version of New York City. In summation, a Lego version of Asgard was created.

The creative team has also incorporated Marvel Comics co-creator Stan Lee in the game. He is a part of missions called "Stan Lee in Peril" (similar to "Citizen in Peril" missions from previous games). He is also a playable character and has several of the other characters' abilities (such as Spider-Man's webbing, a combination of Human Torch's heat beam and Cyclops's optic blast, Mr. Fantastic's ability to grapple, an adamantium skeleton when all health is depleted, and the power to translate into a Hulk-like version of Lee).

Participants can also explore the Marvel version of New York City, though they can solely utilize a specific graphic symbol and access buildings after the run is over. Side missions are narrated by Deadpool and take position in buildings with their own plot lines. There are a total of 15 missions in the main single-player campaign, followed by 12 side missions.

Video game genres

Get along you know Video games can be categorized based on their gameplays? Possibly for some they recognize they know, but it’s dependable to be left for us to know further about video games. Video game genre is usually determined by a set of gameplay challenges and classified independent of their background or game-universe.

Here I’ll present you the list of video genreclassification.

 Action

The predecessor of all console game genres, a ball-and-paddle game was the first game implemented on a home console (Pong).
Gameplay involves the player fighting through a series of increasingly difficult levels.
Combat is always one-on-one.
Mascot Fighting games, often called 'party brawlers', are fighting games usually developed to showcase a particular brand's line up of intellectual properties.
In this sense, it is a fusion of action games and real-time strategy games. The genre emphasizes cooperative team-play; players select and control one "hero", a powerful unit with various abilities and advantages to form a team's overall strategy.
Maze games have a playing field which is entirely a maze, which players must navigate.
Most pinball games feature the same gameplay style, where the player controls a right and left flipper, and tries to make the ball hit various parts of the playfield to gather up points.
These games involve travelling between platforms by jumping (very occasionally other means are substituted for jumping, like swinging or bouncing, but these are considered variations on the same mechanic).
A shooter game focuses primarily on combat involving projectile weapons, such as guns and missiles.
First-person shooter video games, commonly known as FPSs, emphasize shooting and combat from the perspective of the character controlled by the player.
(MMOFPS) are a genre of massively multiplayer online games that combines first-person shooter gameplay with a virtual world in which a large number of players can interact over the Internet.
These early light gun games used small (usually moving) targets onto which a light-sensing tube was mounted; the player used a gun (usually a rifle) that emitted a beam of light when the trigger was pulled. If the beam struck the target, a "hit" was scored.
Games in this genre call for fast reactions and memorization of enemy patterns. These games are played from either top-down or side-view perspective.
Tactical shooters are variations on the first-person shooter genre, which focus on realism and emphasize tactical play such as planning and teamwork (for example, co-ordination and specialised roles) such as in Call of Duty.
A rail shooter is a sub-genre of the first-person shooter in which the player's navigation through the game environment is not under their explicit control.
This perspective gives the player a wider view of their surroundings as opposed to the limited viewpoint of first-person shooters. Furthermore, third-person shooters allow for more elaborate movement such as rolling or diving, as opposed to simple jumping and crouching common in FPS games.

  Action-adventure

Stealth games are a somewhat recent sub-genre, sometimes referred to as "sneakers" or "creepers" to contrast with the action-oriented "shooter" sub-genre.
Survival horror games focus on fear and attempt to scare the player via traditional horror fiction elements such as atmospherics, death, the undead, blood and gore.

  Adventure

They augmented traditional adventure gameplay with some of the attributes more commonly associated with action games.
A great deal of programming went into parsing the player's text input
Adventure games began to supplement and later on replace textual descriptions with visuals (for example, a picture of the current location).
Many visual novels track statistics that the player must build in order to advance the plot, and permit a variety of endings, allowing more dynamic reactions to the player's actions than a typical linear adventure plot.

   Role-playing

Cultural differences in role-playing video games have caused RPGs to tend towards two sets of characteristics sometimes referred to as Western and Japanese RPGs (also referred to as "JRPG" or "JRPGs").
Some RPGs give the player several choices in how their story goes and such. Typically the player can effect if a character dies or whether they kill an enemy or simply knock them out non-lethally, one example being Dishonored.
Due to RPG origins with Dungeons and Dragons and other pen and paper role-playing games, the most popular setting for RPGs by far is a fantasy world, usually with heavy medieval European influences with Diablo series (by Blizzard), Final Fantasy series, Elder Scrolls series and Baldur's Gate series (all different kinds of RPGs) all sharing a basic fantasy setting.
Sandbox RPGs are almost always western rather than Japanese and contain similarities to other sandbox games such as the Grand Theft Auto series with a large number of interactable NPCs, large amount of content and typically some of the largest worlds to explore and longest playtimes of all RPGs due to an impressive amount of secondary content not critical to the game's main storyline.
The action role-playing game or action RPG is a type of role-playing video game which incorporates elements from action games or action-adventure games.
Massively multiplayer online role-playing games, or MMORPGs, emerged in the mid to late 1990s as a commercial, graphical variant of text-based MUDs, which had existed since 1978.
Superficially, a roguelike is a two-dimensional dungeon crawl with a high degree of randomness and an emphasis on statistical character development.
The tactical role-playing game sub-genre principally refers to games which incorporate gameplay from strategy games as an alternative to traditional RPG systems.

Simulation

Construction and management simulations (or CMSs) are a type of simulation game which task players to build, expand or manage fictional communities or projects with limited resources.
life simulation game can revolve around individuals and relationships, or it could be a simulation of an ecosystem.
Vehicle simulation games are a genre of video games which attempt to provide the player with a realistic interpretation of operating various kinds of vehicles.

      Strategy

A 4X games often cover a very large period of time, giving the player the control of an entire civilization or species. Typically these games have a historical setting, encompassing a large amount of human history (Empire Earth, Civilization) or a science fiction setting where the player controls a species set to dominate the galaxy (Master of Orion, Galactic Civilizations).
Artillery games were among the earliest computer games developed and can be considered an extension of the original use of computers, which were once used for military-based calculations such as plotting the trajectories of rockets.
Real-time strategy gameplay is characterised by obtaining resources, building bases, researching technologies and producing units.
Massively multiplayer online real-time strategy games, also known as "MMORTS", combine real-time strategy (RTS) with a persistent world.
A real-time tactics game shares features of the simulation and wargame genres, for example the battle system (though not the entire game) in the Total War series.
Tower defense games have a very simple layout. Usually, computer-controlled monsters called creeps move along a set path, and the player must place, or "build" towers along this path to kill the creeps.
A player of a turn-based game is allowed a period of analysis before committing to a game action, and some games allow a certain number of moves or actions to take place in a turn.
The gameplay of turn-based tactics games is characterized by the expectation of players to complete their tasks using the combat forces provided to them.
Wargames generally take one of four archetypal forms, depending on whether the game is turn-based or real-time and whether the game's focus is upon military strategy or tactics.

Sports

Most popular sub-genre is racing simulators.
Sports games emulate the playing of traditional physical sports.
Games that have high competitive factor but does not represent any traditional sports

Other notable genres

A massively multiplayer online game (also called MMO and MMOG) is a multiplayer video game which is capable of supporting large numbers of players simultaneously.
Casual games are the games that, regardless of specific gameplay features, are targeted at audiences (casual gamers) who do not wish to dedicate much time and effort to playing video games (unlike hardcore gamers who do).
Music games most commonly challenge the player to follow sequences of movement or develop specific rhythms. Some games require the player to input rhythms by stepping with their feet on a dance pad, or using a device similar to a specific musical instrument, like a replica drum set.
Party games are video games developed specifically for multiplayer games between many players.
A programming game is a computer game where the player has no direct influence on the course of the game.
This genre frequently crosses over with adventure and educational games. Some arcade games, in particular Tetris variants, are often labeled puzzle games, despite the fact that gameplay depends on hand/eye coordination and quick reflexes, rather than thought and logic.
In trivia games, the object is to answer questions with the goal of obtaining points.
Many popular board games and card games have computer versions.

Idle gaming

 Video game genres by purpose

There exists a wide variety of adult games, though many lack mainstream appeal and represent a niche category. The object of an adult game may differ from a mainstream video game, in that the reward can be a visual representation of nudity, partial nudity, or sexual activity rather than points, etc.
Advergames, in the context of video game genres, refers to promotional software specifically made to advertise a product, organization or viewpoint.
Art games typically go out of their way to have a unique, unconventional look, often standing out for aesthetic beauty or complexity in design.
Casual games typically are played on a personal computer online in web browsers, although they now are starting to become popular on game consoles.
Christian video games were first developed by Wisdom Tree for the NES, without license. While largely regarded as derivative titles by the mainstream gaming culture,[citation needed] Christian games have nevertheless expanded in distribution since their inception.
Educational games, as the name implies, attempt to teach the user using the game as a vehicle.
These games are often targeted at the "hardcore" gaming audience, and are usually first-person shooter games, requiring twitch-based reaction speed and coordination, or real-time strategy games, requiring high levels of strategic macro- and micromanagement.
  • Exergame
An exergame (portmanteau of "exercise" and "game") is a video game that provides exercise.
These games tend to promote "education, science, social change, health care or even the military.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is a 2013 first-person shooter video game developed by Infinity Ward, with assistance from Raven Software, Neversoft and Certain Affinity. Published by Activision, it is the tenth primary installment in the Call of Duty series and the sixth developed by Infinity Ward. The video game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on November 5, 2013, with Treyarch handling the port for the Wii U. The game was released with the launch of next-generation consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

According to review, score aggregator Metacritic, Ghosts received mixed to positive reviews from critics, with most praising its multiplayer gameplay and introduction of the new game mode Extinction, but criticizing it for its single-player campaign, rehashing of familiar concepts and general lack of innovation.

Story

The game starts in the year 2017 with U.S. Army Captain Elias Walker (Stephen Lang) telling his two sons, Logan and David "Hesh" Walker (Brandon Routh) the legend of how the Ghosts, an elite coalition of all US Special Operations units, first appeared. Meanwhile, in space, Federation soldiers hijack the controlling space station of the Orbital Defense Initiative (ODIN), an orbital superweapon that utilizes kinetic bombardment, and practice it to destroy several cities in the southwest United States. The surviving American astronauts, Baker and Mosley, sacrifice themselves to self-destruct the space station and prevent the other ODIN satellites from launching their payloads further inland. Elias and the teenage Logan and David narrowly escape the devastation of San Diego.
Ten years afterwards, the United States has fought the Federation to a bloody stalemate along a front that comprises the destroyed cities, also known as "No Man's Land", but it has become a war of attrition as more Federation invasion forces set about to break the Frontlines. Nevertheless, the Americans stand their ground, fighting about the former US-Mexico boundary line. Logan and Hesh are part of a U.S special unit under the command of Elias and are accompanied by their loyal military-trained German Shepherd, Riley. During a patrol, they spot an American is turning with the Federation, named Gabriel Rorke (Kevin Gage). Shortly later, the comrades are ambushed by wolves, but rescued are Thomas Merrick and Keegan Russ, members of the wraiths who are proposing to rescue their companion Ajax, who was captured by Rorke. Logan and Hesh join the charge to rescue Ajax, but arrive too late to rescue him as he is obliterated by the Federation.

The brothers come back to Santa Monica, California, where the Federation forces invade the city as U.S forces hold out against their violation. As the Americans counterattack, Hesh and Logan reunite with their father, who discloses himself as the leader of the wraiths. Recognizing that his sons are qualified to bring together his special unit, Elias recruits them into the wraiths, and they ascertain from him that Rorke was once their leader and Elias' best friend. Nevertheless, during a successful mission to assassinate General Diego Almagro, then president of the Federation in the capital city Caracas, Elias is forced to abandon Rorke, who was assumed dead, but instead turned traitor after being captured and brainwashed by the Federation and began hunting down members of the wraiths.

The Ghosts track down and capture Rorke, but while flying back home, Rorke's men attack their plane and deliver him. The team is then thrust to land deep into the Amazon Jungle, where they see a rocket being launched for an obscure use. Once reunited and rescued, the Ghosts raid a Federation laboratory in the Andes and obtain data regarding a classified information in a factory at Rio De Janeiro. To guarantee a track to the manufactory, the Ghosts destroy the Federation's Atlas oil platform located in Antarctica to lure the enemy fleet away from their objective and slide down a destroyer guarding the Brazilian coast. Once within the factory, the squad learns that the Federation had scuffled and reverse engineered ODIN's technology and produced their own orbital bombardment system code named "LOKI". After putting down the factory, Elias and his sons regroup at a safe house in Las Vegas, but are captured by Rorke. After Rorke kills Elias, the brothers manage to run away along with Merrick, Keegan and Riley.

Once the Federation's LOKI becomes operational, the United States's defeat will be inevitable. In response, the United States decides to pool all their remaining strengths, including the last aircraft carrier, the USS Liberator, in a synchronized all-out assault to hold down an enemy space center in Chile, while a modest squad of soldiers boards a shuttle to bring over the Federation satellites in place. Once both objectives are completed, Hesh and Logan pursue Rorke to avenge their father and are seemingly successful, only to find out during the aftermath that Rorke survived the confrontation. Logan tries to fight back his wounded brother, but holds his arm broken by Rorke, who declares his plans to brainwash Logan into killing the rest of the Ghosts before kidnapping Logan.

In a post-credits scene, Logan is seen being kept in a pit in the hobo camp, presumably passing through the same torture methods that Rorke went through.

History of Nba 2k

The NBA 2K series is a series of basketball video games evolved and published annually. Starting in 1999 to 2001, the NBA 2K series was an exclusive to the Sega Dreamcast. The serial publication was originally published by Sega, under the label Sega Sports and is nowadays published by 2K Sports. All of the games in the franchise have been developed by Visual Concepts. Its main competitor in the market place was the NBA Live series from EA Sports.

The first four games of the series featured commentary from fictional announcers "Bob Steele" and "Rod West" (voiced by Bay Area sports radio personalities Bob Fitzgerald and Rod Brooks who works at KNOB 680 San Francisco. They also host a radio show called "Fitz and Brooks"), merely since the NBA 2K3 the game's announcing team has been something of a revolving door, featuring commentary from the likes of Bill Walton, Tom Talbert, Kevin Frazier, Michele Taffy, and Bob Fitzgerald. The color and play-by-play commentary in NBA 2K6, NBA 2K7, and NBA 2K8 is provided by Kevin Harlan and Kenny Smith, with Craig Sager providing sideline reports. Peter Bart is the PA Announcer. NBA 2K9 features commentary from Kevin Harlan and Clark Kellogg with Cheryl Miller as the sideline reporter on most versions of NBA 2K9 AND NBA 2K10. Getting down with NBA 2K11, Doris Burke replaces Miller as the sideline reporter on most versions of the game. On most versions of NBA 2K12, Steve Kerr joins Kevin Harlan and Clark Kellogg in the commentary booth. On the PlayStation 2 versions starting with NBA 2K9, no sideline reporter is featured in the game. In 2002 Sega implemented the American television network, ESPN's brand with their Sega Sports video games. The ESPN brand was used for 3 games, with the second game even being renamed ESPN NBA Basketball, until ESPN signed a 15-year deal with EA Sports.

It is a NBA 2K tradition to award the MVP winner from the previous year with the cover shot for the next game. This was an exception when in the beginning year of historic teams Michael Jordan donned the top. In the upcoming title "NBA 2K15" Kevin Durant the MVP for the 13-14 NBA seasons picture will be on the cover which 2K announced on the 6th of May, From the 2K headquarters in Novato, California.

In 2005 Sega sold theNBA 2K series along with Visual Concepts to Take-Two Interactive. The series is currently published by 2K Sports, a publishing label of Take-Two.

The PlayStation 3 version of NBA 2K7 was the first variant to support motion sensing controllers with a free throw shooting mechanic that has the player ran the Six axis controller in a move similar to a real free throw shooting, but was broken off for later games in the series.

The series has been present on the seventh-generation of consoles starting with the release of NBA 2K6 for the Xbox 360 in November 2005.

NBA 2K11 was the first installment in the franchise to deliver support for stereoscopic 3D screens, although this feature was made available via an update only for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions. NBA 2K12 became the inaugural game in the series to have "built-in" support of 3D for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, and the first to include motion controls using the PlayStation Move.

To boot, the game shows original storylines produced by the group in charge of Naruto's animated adaptations, Studio Pierrot. The game has been well met by video game publications and has betrayed over a million units worldwide as of July 2012.

Watch Dogs (stylized as WATCH_DOGS) is an open world action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released worldwide on 27 May 2014 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with a Wii U planned for departure on 18 November 2014 in North America and 21 November in Europe.  Set within a fictionalized version of Chicago, Illinois, the single-player story follows a hacker and his attempts to seek revenge after the accidental destruction of his niece. The open world design lets players freely roam, Chicago, which includes the urban city, open countryside, and slums.

The game is recreated from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on-foot or by vehicle. Players control Aiden Pearce, a highly skilled gray hat hacker who can cut into the "stars", a centralized operating system which manages the hyper-connected city of Chicago, and organized after a Northeast blackout of 2003 was caused by a hack. Participants can opt to act as criminals or vigilantes. An online multiplayer mode is also offered in the game, allowing up to eight players to engage in both cooperative and competitive gameplay in a recreation of the single-player setting.

Maturation on the game began in 2009. As part of their research in the open world, the developers conducted field research around Chicago throughout development and captured footage of the design team. Development duties were shared between many of Ubisoft's studios worldwide.

Sticking to its announcement on June 2012, WatchDogs was widely expected. At departure, it had generally positive feedback, with praise, particularly directed at the game's hacking elements and mission change. The game also received criticism concerning the gameplay, technical issues and graphical quality. Watch Dogs were a commercial success, breaking the record for the biggest first day sales of a Ubisoft game, and becoming the biggest launch of a new IP ever in the United Kingdom at the time. Within a week, the game sold over 4 million copies.
